Community partners, supporters and friends joined representatives from Conestoga College, Schlegel Villages and the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA) on Thursday, April 13 for the official launch of a new facility that will enhance the quality of life and care for seniors and their families through innovation in education, workforce development and care services. 

Polytechnics Canada welcomes Fanshawe College as newest member

April 12, 2017 – Ottawa – Fanshawe College, based in London, Ontario, is the newest member of Polytechnics Canada.  As well, Peter Devlin, President of Fanshawe, has been appointed as a Director of the Board of our association.

Fanshawe has chosen to join Polytechnics Canada because of its commitment to industry-relevant applied research and innovation and its support for the Polytechnics Canada vision that the Canadian economy and Canadian employers will benefit from a more inclusive and differentiated higher education and talent development system.

DECEMBER 14, 2016 – OTTAWA– Polytechnics Canada heartily welcomes Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) as its newest member.

Polytechnics Canada Welcomes Finance Committee’s Budget 2017 Recommendations

 OTTAWA – December 7, 2016 – Polytechnics Canada welcomes several of the recommendations in the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance’s pre-budget report tabled today. The report recommends new federal investments in apprenticeship, applied research and better labour market information. Polytechnics Canada is pleased that the committee recognizes the value of advanced technical and technological education.
