The Sheridan Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning annually serves 15,000 full-time and 35,000 continuing education students at its campuses in Oakville and Brampton, Ontario. Sheridan offers an innovative learning environment celebrated for academic excellence, applied research and creativity.  Program options range from one-year certificates to four-year Bachelor’s degrees, in the arts, business, community service and technology fields.  We prepare students for career success; 88 percent of graduates are employed within six months of graduation. 

Through innovative partnerships with the public and private sectors, Sheridan has launched several unique training and applied research centres:  the Visualization Design Institute, Sheridan Elder Research Centre, Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies, and High/Scope Teacher Education Centre.

Applied Research and Innovation Services

Sheridan is preparing the next generation of manufacturing talent at our Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies.  This custom-built facility, located at Sheridan's Davis Campus in Brampton, also serves to help progressive manufacturers simulate real-world production challenges and identify timely, cost-effective solutions.

Sheridan's Visualization Design Institute is Canada's pioneer in digital imaging and simulation.  Our visualization specialists work with partners internationally to deliver medical, engineering, educational, cultural and environmental imaging solutions.

Enhancing the quality of life for older persons everywhere is what the Sheridan Elder Research Centre is all about. Our affiliated researchers and volunteers are dedicated to developing, testing and implementing innovative, realistic solutions that improve the day-to-day lives of older adults and their families.

Newcomer Integration

Sheridan’s services and programs for newcomers include a range of English language programs, from Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada, to Enhanced Language Training for internationally-trained, job-ready individuals.  Our bridging programs include Fast Track to Technology Occupations, while we also offer a range of employment services specifically designed to assist newcomers in finding employment in their chosen field.
