The Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning is Ontario’s fastest growing college. With more than 150 programs in over 30 areas of study, as well as multiple opportunities to move from one credential to another, students have maximum flexibility to pursue apprenticeship, certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree or postgraduate programs. Humber is a leader in bachelor’s degrees specializing in the areas of business, tourism, media and film, design, health and justice studies. Industry focused programs provide graduates with the theory and practical experience they need to prepare them for successful careers.
Humber’s award-winning faculty have advanced credentials and industry experience and provide an innovative learning environment, augmented with hands-on training in state of the art laboratories, industry visits, job placements, local, national and international internships and co-op positions. Applied Research & Innovation Services
Humber’s evolving research enterprise includes four types of activities: 1) applied R&D with private industry to facilitate technological solutions across a range of sectors; 2) School-led topical/discipline-based research, 3) community-based outreach and workforce development research, and 4) research on teaching and learning. Through these activities, Humber enhances its applied learning agenda, while providing our industry and community stakeholders with a highly trained and relevant workforce, customized training solutions, and solutions to real world problems.
International Activities and International Educational Partnerships
For more than twenty years, Humber has worked with international partners to develop capacity in business, technology and the health service sectors in various regions of Africa and Asia. Typically, projects have been undertaken with the financial support from donor organizations such as the Canadian International Development Agency, the World Bank or the Asian Development Bank.
International educational partnerships
Humber collaborates with a number of internationally based institutions to deliver postsecondary programming. One of Humber’s long-standing relationships is delivery of the Business Administration Program in collaboration with Ningbo University in China. Humber co-delivers years one and two of the program in China before students come to Toronto to complete the third year of the program. In the past five years, more than 400 students have successfully completed the program.
