George Brown theatre grads win in two categories at Dora Awards

Graduates of George Brown College's Theatre Arts program won in two categories at the 2017 Dora Mavor Moore Awards.

The awards, also referred to as the Doras, celebrate achievements in Toronto theatre, dance and opera. The 2017 awards were presented on June 26.

Our graduates were nominated in seven categories. Andre Sills (2004) took home the hardware for Outstanding Performance – Male in the General Theatre Division, for his performance in "Master Harold" ... and the Boys.

Jocelyn Adema (2015), Graham Conway (2015), Landon Doak (2015), Matthew Finlan (2015), Lena Maripu (2015), Matt Pilipiak (2013), Fiona Sauder (2014) and Reanne Spitzer (2015) won Outstanding Performance – Ensemble, in the Theatre for Young Audiences Division, for their work in Peter Pan.

George Brown's Theatre Arts program offers rigorous, conservatory-style training where all courses are directly related to the acting profession.
